I received my first camera, a Voigtlander Vitoret from my parents when I was about 12 years old. I still have that camera and my passion for photography. Throughout my career as a Medical Scientist, I always remained a keen photographer. I'm now retired and I have the time to indulge in my passion. Bushwalking (another passion of mine) and photography go well together. No matter how hard the walk or how heavy my backpack, I always have room for my camera and rolls of film. Since the digital age arrived, I have embraced it to some degree, but for me black and white film photography is my primary interest. Now that I have a small darkroom, I process my film and print my negatives and I love the process. My intention is to display photos I have taken here in Australia and overseas as well. What better way for family, friends and anyone interested to see my work. I mentioned that I have embraced the digital age and on recent trips I always carry a compact digital camera as well as my film camera. So this site will not be totally black and white - most of the colour images here are digital capture.
